somehow this is in portugese...

My msn spaces sign in was in Portugese.  This is interesting because I can actually deal with the Japanese sign in page better.  Oh well, I just wanted to copy and paste something I sent to Justin about my trip back.  Plus his pic

I had an adventure coming back too.  I actually missed my train back to Okayama and had to stay in Osaka for the night.  It was pretty good.  I was wearing my Korea soccer team shirt and went to a Korean restaurant.  They spoke to my in Japanese and I said I didn`t speak Japanese, so they spoke to me in Korean and I said I couldn`t speak Korean.  Then they looked totally lost and I told them I was Canadian.  This still gave looks of shock and awe and then I settled down and an older woman (aka cougar) bought me a beer and I sat and chatted and sang kareoke.  The Korean waitress was staring at me the whole time and only said two things to me (in japanese): 1) You`re really cool.  2) You need my cell phone number.

:)  Ah, Koreans seem to be more fun here in Japan.  I gotta wear that Korean shirt more often, but there aren`t koreans here.

Yeah, I`m awesome.

Heading back!

Well, it looks like I'm going back to Japan after a week here in Vancouver.  I'm going to spend the next 6 months completely destroying that country.  :)  Happy thoughts. I'm going to leave a trail of fire behind me.

Horseshoes

As you know, I'm in Vancouver right now.  Having a really good time.  I went to a bbq the first day back, got sleepy instead of drunk, had some wild conversations and made people laugh.

Other than that, Vancouver is good.  Going shopping tomorrow.  I didn't get to ride because of rain, but man, I was ready for a good rip through the forest.  I need that more than anything else.  But even talking about it is good.  I watched a good MTB race too.

Oilers are still in the Stanley Cup.  I hope they win because they're playing Carolina!  They won Game 3 yesterday.  Also, I can't remember what else has been happening.

OH YES.  I took all my money at the restaurant and didn't leave anything for tip until my sister mentioned it by saying, "So, it looks like Japan's taught you how to be a cheap bastard, eh?" and I said, "What??  WTF, I paid for the food, didn't I?" She said, "Yeah, but TIP?" And I said, "OH SHIT!" And I ran back inside and gave a fiver to the waitress.  My sister came back and said, "I can't believe you didn't tip AND you took the freaking pennies!"

Then we laughed.

The end.  Still have 4 days here for randomness.

Dave

PS I lost my passport in Nagoya.  Then I lost Y100,000.  Then someone found it and gave it back to the police.  I was almost in tears.  Horseshoe up my butt?  It feels good in there...

Jet laggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

OMG, I can't believe I'm back in Vancouver and I have to use an English keyboard.  I'm completely lost as to how to type and I can't figure stuff out because it's in English.  I stare at everyone now because now I know they know what i'm saying.  Damn, I feel completely messed up.

Other than that, I'll just put some pictures up.  I'll set up a new album.

Nagoya or not?

In a few days, I`ll be heading back for a quick visit.  Hmmm, do I want to go to Nagoya first or not? I have to go there no matter what for a flight out to Tokyo, but do I want to go earlier in the day and just bum around?  Ah, I don`t know.

I don`t really have much to say about the last few days.  Nothing that exciting happened.  I burned my finger on some fireworks.  It`s swollen but still works.  See?  I can type!

I`ve got some pictures.  I`ll see if I can get them on this stupid computer...
